What causes a decrease in hemoglobin in the blood

What causes decreased hemoglobin, or Hb for short, is a type of essential protein found in our blood. Hemoglobin is the most important factor in the delivery of oxygen to our whole body, where the body needs as much oxygen as possible. Let’s find out the reason for the decrease in hemoglobin in the blood What is hemoglobin and what is the function of hemoglobin in our body

When hemoglobin is low in one’s body, breathing becomes obstructed, which means that there is a problem in taking oxygen and emitting carbon dioxide. Now we need to know how much this reduction is actually reduced. So, first you need to know how normal the amount of hemoglobin in the blood is, what is the normal range. Then, you can know the low level of hemoglobin in the blood. That is, if it is reduced, it can be called low label.

Hopefully, you know what hemoglobin is and how much it has in the blood or what the different labels are. Now let’s find out the reasons why hemoglobin in the blood decreases.

The reason for the decrease in hemoglobin in the blood

There are about 400 reasons. However, doctors have divided them into 3 groups. They are-

  • Decreased hemoglobin through bleeding
  • Decreased hemoglobin due to malignant blood cells
  • Decreased hemoglobin due to death or inactivation of blood cells

Bleeding: Bleeding often causes red blood cells to be reduced or damaged. It can start at a very small size and last for a long time. Many times it cannot be detected. This type of chronic bleeding is caused by whatever.

  • Due to some gastrointestinal conditions such as ulcers, hemorrhoids, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach) and cancer.
  • Due to taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin or ibuprofen. Taking such drugs often causes ulcers and gastritis in the body which later turns into bleeding.

Due to faulty blood cells: In this condition, the body produces a small amount of red blood cells, and even the blood cells do not work properly. In both cases anemia and hemoglobin deficiency may be observed. Red blood cells are defective due to abnormal cells. Lack of vitamins and minerals in most cases. In this condition various types of amnesia or anemia occur-

  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Iron deficiency anemia
  • Vitamin deficiency anemia
  • Sister Marrow and stem cell problems
  • Other health problems

Sickle cell anemia is a type of hereditary disorder. Due to genetic defects, red blood cells become crescent shaped and break down. As a result, the oxygen supply to the body does not work properly.

Iron deficiency anemia occurs when the body does not have enough mineral iron. To make hemoglobin in the blood, iron is needed in the bone marrow of the sister center, through which hemoglobin transports oxygen.

Lack of vitamin B12 and folate or folic acid causes vitamin anemia. And it is called megaloblastic anemia. And if there is very little vitamin B12 and the anemia that is caused by it, it is called pernicious anemia. Vitamin B12 deficiency occurs due to not eating enough meat and vegetables.
